Language Solutions seeks applications for available EFL teaching positions on the basis of one-year renewable contracts in Kuwait City. Working within a busy team, this is a challenging and rewarding job. Technical training experience or experience in the oil and gas industry may be an advantage. However, solid business and/or general teaching experience is equally valid. This post is located in Kuwait City. The position will suit innovative teachers able and willing to use the available technology.
Start Date:
March/April 2008. We welcome applications from both men and women for these posts, as well as teaching couples.
A minimum of 5 years’ full-time post-CELTA experience is required for the teaching roles.
We are looking for experienced, dynamic English teachers preferably with experience in technical English for the oil & gas industry. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable and resourceful. We require people who are both self-reliant and team players. Our students are working adults and work trainees with levels generally ranging from beginner to intermediate with some upper intermediate and advanced. There will be an exam focus, for example PET, KET, IELTS, TOEFL. In addition we will be providing some ESP courses.
22.5 contact hours per week. Five days teaching per week. The working day is from 7.00 a.m to 3.00 p.m. Excellent teaching facilities.

Qualifications:
Primary degree. (Must be available for legalisation by the Kuwait Embassy)
Minimum CELTA or Trinity Cert TEFL or equivalent
5 years’ post CELTA experience
Compensation:
Teachers package comprising tax free salary of 800 Kuwait Dinar per month/9600 Kuwaiti Dinar per year + End of service benefit. Total in USD including end of service benefit is circa $37,000 or £18,775 Tax Free. Salary is paid monthly in Dinar + beginning and end of contract flight + single accommodation in comfortable, fully furnished apartments + multi-entry visa + insurance + 30 days paid annual leave + all local holidays. All work related transport is provided.
