Teach In Brazil Now

We’re looking for ESL instructors to teach adults in Manaus, capital of Amazonas state in Brazil.

The school specializes in teaching English language to adults. Most of our classes are one on one at the school or on the premises of multinational companies. These companies are located in different parts of the city and teachers commute by public transport to different parts of the city every day for classes. Cost of transportation is paid by the school. A few of our classes have 3 to 5 students though.

Teachers usually have about 4 hours of classes spread throughout the day. There is no fixed daily schedule. Teachers should be comfortable with students at all levels, ages and sexes.

Our hourly wage is 20 Brazilian Reals(about 12.00 US Dollars). We pay biweekly. We guarantee minimum 20 hours per week (about 1,000 USD / month).

Accommodation:
We offer subsidized, descent private air-conditioned accommodation in a safe and respectable neighborhood.
The rooms are furnished with a bed, writing desk, cable T.V and internet. Teachers pay 200 Reals (about 120 USD) monthly as rent (the school in effect pays 50% of the rent). Electricity, cable T.V and internet bills are paid by teachers.
Rooms are private but teachers share kitchen, toilets and bathrooms with colleagues from other English speaking countries.

Teach In Queretaro

Bridge Institute, located in the city of Querétaro, is currently hiring for part-time positions starting in January 2011. Querétaro is a beautiful, medium-sized city located in the Bajío region about two and a half hours from Mexico City. The job consists of teaching morning and afternoon on-site Business English classes for a total of 8 to 12 teaching hours per week. The compensation for these classes is sufficient to cover living costs such as rent, food and other necessary expenses. The school will also assist in finding adequate accommodations for new teachers. Normally, there are numerous opportunities for teachers to obtain extra hours by substituting at the institute or taking on private classes during their free hours.

The minimum qualifications to be considered for a teaching post at Bridge are an initial TESOL certificate (Trinity TESOL certificate or CELTA preferred) and at least one year of teaching experience. The British Council Penang is looking for enthusiastic and experienced teachers of English to join our teaching team. This post starts in Mid October 2010 and slightly later start dates are negotiable. The Teaching Centre is located in a heritage building in a key location in Georgetown, the capital of Penang. The centre runs courses for young learners between the ages of 6 and 12 years, teenagers, 13-17 years and adults. We also teach IELTS Preparation Courses and have a small but developing Professional Development Unit. We teach around 1200 students a term who come from Penang and nearby states on mainland Malaysia. As a member of this professional teaching team, you will strive to provide quality language teaching to adults and young learners at a variety of levels.

Christmas Camp Work In Mexico

Sueños Compartidos is seeking camp leaders for Christmas Camp in Mexico!! Two locations – southern Oaxaca and southern Veracruz – six teachers in each location will teach English, sports, dance to students in grades 1-6. New school with a difference! Due to rapid expansion we are now seeking additional QUALIFIED, experienced NATIVE SPEAKER (Canadian, American, British, Australian) ESL instructors. You will teach 1:1, small group & lecture classes on Mactan Island in Cebu, to begin in October or November; primarily adult Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, and other nationals.

These positions are ideally for those who have easy access to the Philippines, as there is no relocation allowance available. Salary is php50 to 60K per month net, with one week paid vacation after 6 months, 2 additional weeks after 12 months. We are located in a first class facility shared with an international film school and fashion studios overlooking the ocean. On-campus or local residences available.

You must have at least a BA, preferably in education or humanities, and at least 1-2 years actual teaching experience. A youthful, enthusiastic attitude and strong interpersonal skills are essential. IELTS TOEIC or TOEFL training desirable.

If you genuinely enjoy working primarily with adults and helping them achieve their goals this could be just right for the next year or two -or longer.

Teaching load: 7 hours per day (50 minute classes) plus spare, Monday – Friday.
Initial contract is 6 months renewable, with salary increases related to performance thereafter.
Housing expenses are not covered* (but 3 nights hotel accom. (reimbursable) will be provided upon arrival)
No health plan (A medical consultation with a doctor costs just seven to ten dollars)
