Samkwang International Christian School (SICS) is currently seeking native English-speaking teachers to teach in our K-6 school in Bucheon. If you would like to educate young people in a Christian environment, then we want to hear from you. You will not only be paid but also render Christian service to the students in our school. Our school considers all of its teachers and staff to be missionaries, ministering to the students and to their colleagues.
1. About our school
Our school is a private Christian school, located in Bucheon, Korea. The cardinal goal of education at SICS is to train up students to show the glory of God. We seek to carry out all educational activities with a spirit of thankfulness to God and loving service to each other. English language is to be used for classroom instruction exclusively.
2. Qualifications
Required
- Be a Christian who has been born again through faith in Jesus Christ.
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching science and/or kindergarten.
Duties
- Five work days weekly (Mon-Fri, from 8:30-17:00)
- Provide classroom instruction and other services associated with instruction
- Consult with students and correct their behavior as needed
- Sponsor or supervise extra activities and programs
- Help develop curriculum as required
3. Remuneration & Benefits
- Monthly salary negotiable 2.0~2.3 Million Korean Won (may be increased based on qualifications and experience; also may be increased depending on other responsibilities taken at school.)
- Supporting Airfare (Round trip Ticket)
- Health insurance (National Plan)
- At least 4 weeks paid vacation a year
- Housing will be provided
4. Contract Period
One year. The contract may be extended or renewed upon evaluation.
5. Starting Date
-Classes begin in September and October.
