We are a placement company in Thailand with 60 government schools and need to place over 160 applicants in May and November 2008. We have an outreach program whereby we place teachers or people who would like to teach in Thailand in rural schools. This is a great opportunity for people who wish to experience a different culture and have the adventure of a lifetime.

The applicants are paid well and given orientation courses and free accommodation over a 4 month semester. Our next semester begins in May 2008. We need native English speakers who have degrees, who may or may have not TEFL, TESOL, EFL qualifications and teaching experience.

    you should be aware that this company is racist and ageist. they claim that the schools where they place people will not accept people of color, asian descent, or over a certain age… but people of those criteria ARE placed in thailand — they have just chosen to do business that way. (as have other organizations, like TEFL, which parter with mediakids to place their teachers.)

    if you are a candidate for discrimination you should realize this going in… and if you aren’t, you should still think about whether you want to be affiliated with an organization that openly discriminates on the basis of race & age.
