Qualified ELT Professionals Needed in Tampico, Mexico

We are looking for qualified ELT professionals to teach English and some courses in an undergraduate program in Applied Linguistics to Mexican students and professionals in a private school in Tampico, Mexico.
Starting date: January 3, 2012
Application deadline: November 14, 2011
Minimum qualifications:
Proficient English speaker
Between 25 and 45 years old
CELTA, TEFL undergraduate degree or equivalent, M.A. in Applied Linguistics or related desirable
At least two years of experience teaching adults and teens, preferably overseas
Basic computer skills
Sociable, dynamic and adaptable
Willing to work as part of a team
Willing to abide by school policies and procedures
Amenable to a split schedule (mornings, evenings) and Saturday mornings
Eager to learn about Mexico’s rich culture and warm people

The American School of Tampico was founded in 1917 by Americans who came to the region with the oil companies at the beginning of last century. We are located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, 500 km south of the border with the United States serving a population of students from the age of three to adults through our different sections: Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School, High School and Languages and Advanced Studies. The Languages and Advanced Studies section offers English, French, German, Chinese and Spanish, a B.A. in Applied Linguistics and TKT and TOEFL preparation courses among other services. It has a Self-Access Learning Center (SALC) and a student population of over 800 students. The language courses are learner-centered, communicative and cover the four skills. This full-time position is for 30 hours a week of on campus time, including up to 24 contact teaching hours catering to different levels and programs. There are few classes for children and young teens, but the students are mostly young adults and professional people.

Salary and benefits:
$12,000 U.S. Dollars for 12 months paid in Mexican pesos
Roundtrip fare from Canada or the U.S.
15 day paid vacation in August if renewing contract
