My Little Red House Bilingual School is currently looking for volunteer teachers to teach English as well as to learn or practice Spanish. Room and board will be provided along with the chance to make some money giving private classes to either students at the school or to adults in the city. You will also have ample time to get to know the city of Ocotepeque and to get involved in the community if you so wish. On weekends and other school vacations you can also explore outlaying areas, travel to historical Copan Ruins or the beautiful Bay Islands.

The type of person we are looking for must know English very well and he or she doesn‚t have to be native speaker. The person also has to love working with children as the school has students from pre-school to grade six, Be patient and have great creativity and imagination. Of course, living in another country for some time also means that the foreigners who decide to come here have to be open to other cultures. We are currently looking for a teacher to start right away! Teaching experience is not a 100% necessary but experience with children is preferable, i.e childcare, camp counselor etc. Minimum age 20, couples or singles, equally welcome.
